In Taiwan a few years ago, my cousin and I went and had our ‘auras’ photographed by some machine that apparently cost US $20,000.  The muse puts their hands on metal plates either side of them, completing some sort of circuit with their body.  It used a polaroid-photography-like system, so we watched as the colours appeared before our eyes. I tend to believe we each have a slightly different mix of ‘energy’ emanating from us, however I’m not that convinced it can be captured using this method.  The colours here could have something to do with heat, or how well a body completes the circuit (ie: the individual’s conductivity).

When my cousin and I sat together, we each had one hand on a plate, and we held hands in the middle.  She was feeling ill and weak that day and my aura seemed to ‘swallow’ hers up!  Apparently yellow is youth/energy/happiness, and purple is wisdom.

I recently went up Taipei 101 and got a shot of this baby - a massive damping ball to help reduce swaying of the tower.  Twas pretty awesome!
Here’s a write up about it from Popular Mechanics ”…Sitting just 660 ft. from a major fault line in Taiwan, the tower could be subjected to earthquakes, typhoons and fierce winds.. The remedy for these potential seismic and atmospheric assaults is this 730-ton tuned mass damper (TMD). It acts like a giant pendulum to counteract the building’s movement—reducing sway due to wind by 30 to 40 percent… Able to move 5 ft. in any direction, the Taipei TMD is the world’s largest and heaviest.—Nathan Eddy”
